Join me in a playshop that seamlessly weaves together two magical forms of meditation and joy: hula hoop dance and vinyasa yoga. Hoop Vinyasa combines basic hoop dance principles with vinyasa yoga se- quences for a fun and challenging class for the body, mind, and spirit!
This fun-filled workshop is for newbies and experienced yogis alike. We use the hoop as a prop for alignment and strength-building in asana and introduce fundamentals of hoop dance for both on and off-body moves, practicing a variety of hand and waist hooping techniques. As we master some hoop tricks, we integrate them into our yoga practice so they come together in a unique flow - pushing new boundaries and finding balance between stillness and movement, focus and fun.
